Description
It is located in the main square of the city of San Miguel. Its structure is made of adobones and the side walls are reinforced by three majestic buttresses. The main nave ends in a main altar and on the outside it has a front with three arched doors and a single tall tower. Its construction began in 1901 and was completed in 1912. In its lonely tower there are old bells in one of which inscriptions in Latin from the seventeenth century are read. It has an English clock embedded in its tower, which was given as a gift in 1912. The church has three naves and a gabled corrugated iron roof. The tower is the tallest in Cajamarca, with its 36 meters and the highest adobe ruled in Peru. It has images of great artistic value, such as that of San Miguel Arcángel and Cristo del Calvario. It also has a baptismal font made of bronze.
