Its importance lies in the fact that it constitutes a successful cooperative experience in Peru. They have developed in the last 40 years an afforestation project with more than 10,000 ha. of plantations of exotic species of pines that have achieved climatic benefits; as a consequence they have become habitat for fauna and flora. It is worth highlighting the raising of auquénids: alpacas and vicuñas, which allows the development of textile crafts.
